SNORT is an open source Intrusion Detection product from SourceFire which is used worldwide by many organizations and enterprises. Despite of SNORT being an open source program, commercial support and hardware appliances are also offered by SourceFire giving your company a reliable IDS/IPS platform. The open source SNORT sensors which are discussed during this course are fully compatible with de commercial SourceFire Defense Center.
