BCM 3 : Continuity Management Revisited
28-Apr-2009
Considering continuity management in economic downturns : luxury resource spent or good corporate governance?
During this seminar, a company can at least consider good practice and management responsibility by starting to think about the unforeseeable threats and potential risk that might be facing their stakeholders. Some examples, and some proven experiences on how to mitigate risk and how to successfully manage such a process can be learned. Being large or small, only local or with many international affiliations, based upon this guidance, any company should be able to start creating the necessary steps in order to survive a major crisis, whether caused by internal or external factors; and support the management to prepare this awareness inside of their own organization
In today’s market environment guaranteeing continuity could be more important than creating profits. For all stakeholders the company should consider on a regular basis its contingency plans in case of a crisis or disaster, major or minor. All operations could be impacted, and probably also your most valuable customers. Continuity management goes way beyond IT risk management. But IT continuity remains an important component..
Targetted to : general management, IT management, risk management, security management, project managers, business managers, system architects, COO’s, CSO’s, CFO’s and Government Authorities
